About Chad
Chad Everett was born in Memphis, moved to Mississippi at five, and has spent the years since working his way back across the state line. He earned his bachelor's from the University of Memphis and his master's in educational leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He taught middle school English before serving as a literacy coach, assistant principal, and school network leader. He most recently served as Executive Director of an all-boys middle school in Knoxville, Tennessee.
His belief in every student's right and responsibility to read runs through his writing and living. His work has appeared in Educational Leadership, Literacy Today, and Voices from the Middle, and in NCTE's Already Readers and Writers.
When he isn't roaming the halls, he's somewhere in nature or perfecting his game on the pickleball court.
